Registration and Accreditation

Sydney Adventist School Auburn is owned and operated by Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Greater Sydney) Ltd, an organisation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

It is registered and accredited by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority, which regulates all independent schools in NSW and dictates the NSW curriculum guidelines and outcomes, including responsibilities regarding the Australian curriculum. We are also a member of the Association of Independent Schools of NSW.

Our strategic planning committee ensures that our school has a financially sustainable future and remains well-resourced. A strategic management plan informs our school's future spiritual, academic, cultural and philosophical direction. These plans are available to parents and community members.

School Council

The local administration of the school is delegated to the school Management Council. The Council is appointed by the Company Board of Directors and comprises of members from the Seventh-day Adventist church chosen for their expertise or as a representative body, the School Principal and at least one invitee from the Board of Directors. The Council meets at least six times per year during school terms. To bring matters to the Council, please contact the Principal who is also Secretary of the Council.

NSW Education Standards Authority

The New South Wales Education Standards Authority endorses our curriculum and all of the courses that we offer are either Board prescribed or endorsed. Built into these courses are a range of learning styles that meet the needs of the majority of students.

Parents and Community Association

Our P&C Association is a committee of parents and the principal who support the function and administration of the school in a variety of ways. Parents voluntarily sit on this committee.

The committee:

  • Promotes a sense of community
  • Raises funds to provide the school with additional facilities and equipment
  • Assists the school with the organisation and running of special events
  • Encourages discussion between parents and principal regarding school policy issues
  • Advances the cause of Christian education in the home and school
  • Fosters understanding, appreciation and co-operation between teachers and parents
  • Supports the School Council's aims and objectives
